Switching online

Once you’ve compared your results, simply pick the plan you want and we can help you switch your energy supplier.

We guide you through the online application, which only takes about five minutes.

Then, after you have confirmed your utility switch, you can sit back because we take care of the rest for you.

What happens next?

Your application is passed on to your new supplier. They will let your old supplier know that you are

switching and set up your new account. Your new supplier will contact you directly to update you

on your switch. This can take up to six weeks, but they will aim to switch you in the shortest time possible.

Will I be breaking a contract with my current supplier?

Normally, an energy contract is for 28 days. It’s a rolling contract that you can cancel at any point, with

28 days warning – your new supplier will take care of this for you. Your new supplier will let your old

supplier know you are switching your supplier.

Some fixed and capped tariffs have cancellation charges. If you are on a fixed or capped plan check your

terms and conditions for more information.

Will I be cut off at any point?

No. The switch date is co-ordinated between your current and new supplier. You won’t lose your supply at any point.

Your role

All you have to do is choose the best plan you want, and then complete our online switching application.

Your new supplier will contact you and confirm your switch date. Your responsibilities are:

  • pay your final bill to your old supplier and cancel any Direct Debits to them, if that’s how you pay
  • take a meter reading to give to your old and new suppliers

It’s that simple. Click Here for the Energy Price Comparison Calculator
